Earlier this year, we had this Mini Cooper GP pocket rocket dropped off at our studio. The owner explained the pain they were having with stone chips, especially behind the front wheels. Been front wheel drive, the car was constantly throwing debris up from the front wheels onto the doors. As well as this, the was no other paint protection system in place! So it was decided that the car would receive a self-healing PPF and Wax Protection!
First thing to do was safely wash the car, and thoroughly inspect its paintwork further. We do this to make sure it is clear from any contaminants that you can’t see. Things such as hard-set road grime, tar and any deep dirt that will make the paintwork appear dull.
Once inside the studio, we applied LLumar’s PPF onto the paintwork just behind the front wheels to help prevent stone chips damaging the paintwork. Following this, Swissvax’s ‘Shield’ wax was applied onto the whole car! Swissvax’s Shield wax comes with added PTFE in it to help form a harder defence layer on the paint surface. With the final touches applied to smarten the whole vehicle up, such as dressing tyres, protecting the alloys with another signature Swissvax Wax, Autobahn, and cleaning the exhaust, the car was ready for its owner to come and collect it! Ready just in time for winter!!
