This Land Rover Defender 90 visited our Reep studio crying out for a bit of a transformation to make it look trendy! Our team at Reep could instantly see the potential however the owner was struggling to visualise.
We discussed a budget and was given the green light for creative freedom to protect the entire vehicle whilst modernising the overall look.
Here’s how the car looked sat in the showroom. A plain white Defender 90 with plastic trim and silver wheels.
The plan was to install Satin Paint Protection Film to all of the white paintwork. However this wouldn’t be enough, we had to replace all the exposed plastic parts and wheels and make these gloss black. So the vehicle was placed on our sunken ramp in our detailing studio and panels removed to be sent away to the bodyshop.
Whilst these panels were now removed and being painted gloss black, this gave us a great opportunity to proceed with installing satin PPF to all of the paintwork, wrapping all edges and hiding all gloss areas.
Once this was done, the roof then received Gloss Black PPF. Basically a black vinyl roof but as its PPF, it looks like paint rather than a dull vinyl wrap.
The parts then arrived back and were re-fitted. Starting to come together!
