We recently purchased this stunning low mileage BMW M2 3.0 DCT in Sapphire Black as our demo vehicle to install products and always have a finished vehicle to show clients who visit for a quotation or simply drop their vehicles off for work doing and like to see one that has been completed before.
We didn’t just want to install Gloss PPF everywhere to show how good it could look as no one would be able to see it! So we thought why not install our latest product which we have been testing and mix it up a little with the car.
We are proud to be the first company in the UK to offer coloured PPF. With a range of colours and even a colour changing chameleon film, this sits really nicely alongside the Gloss, Satin and black PPF range we currently offer.
Out of the menu of colours available from our partner Profilm, we opted for the Green Diamond PPF which is essentially a transparent Gloss PPF like normal with a green metallic flake, once applied over a black painted car it gives the end result what you will see on the images below.
The coloured PPF range works best over the top of metallic black paint finishes, however if applied over white paint for example, it gives a metallic pearl like finish over the original colour. You will see the colour now of the M2 really pops in direct sunlight, giving an almost Candy Apple Green or British racing green finish.
As well as this we installed Carbon PPF to the roof, as M2’s do not come with carbon roofs like M3 and M4’s, many people spend thousands cutting the roof out and re-installing a genuine carbon roof. We opted for a Carbon PPF to the roof which is a much cheaper solution to cutting the roof out as well as looking like genuine carbon, giving a really deep gloss finish that doesn’t look like a vinyl wrap or fake carbon.
We have installed our Windscreen Protection to the windscreen to prevent stone chips and cracks appearing.
Lastly, the wheels were refurbished by us to a satin black finish and the entire car protected with Gtechniq Ceramic Coatings. The PPF received Gtechniq HALO Flexible Film Coating and then wheels received Crystal Serum Ultra 9 year coating. We carried out our Total Surface Protection Bundle; protecting all additional interior and exterior surfaces with Gtechniq products.
As a finishing touch to further demonstrate the services we offer, we have installed Tinted Headlight PPF to the headlights to protect them from chips as well as adding a subtle darker tint to that of the factory clear finish.
