First in the UK Ferrari 296 GTS at Reep

Straight from Italy to Ferrari Leeds, this first to arrive in the UK 296 GTS was transported immediately to our Car Storage partners Lusso Concierge to hibernate away from the typical UK weather.

Lusso looked after the car whilst the owner waited for a slot at our Reep Yorkshire studio as the vehicle arrived a little sooner than expected which is always nice! The owner took our advice to resist driving the vehicle with no protection on. We always say you have waited ages for the car, what’s another few days going to change! 3 miles of driving it down the road could lead to a nasty stone chips which would ruin the finished result once protected.

When the slot became available, the car was transported in a discreet enclosed trailer from Lusso Concierge Car Storage in Leeds over to our state of the art detailing studio here in Knaresborough.

The vehicle was cleaned, de-contaminated and machine polished to refine the paintwork and remove all previous machine polishing work by the way of excess compound in edges and ‘buffering trails’ due to the special paintwork receiving hand finishing touches rather than a robot. After our refinishing was done, the full vehicle was alcohol wiped down prior to the Paint Protection Film application.

This vehicle received ProFilm Ultra Clear Pro which comes with a 12 year manufacturers warranty as well as a 12 year Reep fitment warranty.

We also installed a vinyl front numberplate for our client as well as treating the PPF, wheels, interior and all surfaces with Gtechniq specific products.

Urban G63 in Satin Black PPF!

Overview:

Check out this evil looking Urban Automotive Mercedes G63 G Wagon which entered our studio for protection!

The Plan:

Originally gloss black, this owner wanted to stealth the appearance by adding Satin Paint Protection Film to the entire body, whilst leaving the carbon fibre elements gloss.

Protecting the Protection:

The entire vehicle was then ceramic coated with Gtechniq HALO Flexible Film Coating to the exterior, as well as carrying out our Gtechniq Total Surface Protection Bundle (TSP) which protects all other surfaces interior and exterior throughout.

We think it looks excellent in our state of the art protection studio here in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire.

Blu Uranus Lamborghini Urus Performante Protected with PPF

Overview of the task:

We were fortunate to receive through our state of the art studio doors – the first in the UK – Lamborghini Urus Performante in this stunning Ad Personam Blu Uranus colour.

Wearing its 2023 numberplate and arriving from Italy to Lamborghini Leeds, the car was immediately collected in our enclosed trailer and delivered to our protection studio here in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire for our popular Full Body Paint Protection Film kit.

The Process:

The car was meticulously moved into our workshop for an initial appraisal, inspecting all the paintwork prior to preparation. Lamborghini’s are always prepared at a high level, with next to no paint imperfections from factory other than very light paintwork swirling which is common due to the vehicle needing to be cleaned a few times before arriving at its nominated dealership in the UK. As the vehicle has no protection on it from factory, this is the only reason very slight swirling to the paintwork appears. Some vehicle manufacturers have bad paintwork imperfections and issues which need rectifying.

Once the appraisal was done the vehicle then received our 22 stage decontamination process, removing all fall out from the vehicle to create an ultra smooth surface. The paintwork is then lightly machine polished to remove the fine glazing and really refine the incredible paint finish to how it should look. The vehicle is then washed again to remove all contaminants and dust residue from the machine polishing process.

Paint Protection Film Application:

Once inside and in our PPF application area, the paintwork is alcohol cleaned to remove all oils and polishes from the paintwork which will interfere with our Paint Protection Film application.

All of the panels on the vehicle are pre-cut, meaning no cutting on the vehicle is required. Our highly skilled PPF technicians do an excellent job of lining up all panels and fitting them to perfection. Nothing is removed on the vehicle due to everything being pre-cut around all sections. The only items we remove from the vehicle are the door handles, to minimise any edges being visible which would have been cut around them. These are the levels we like to go to for our clients as if this were our own vehicle, we would appreciate every time someone opens the handle it doesn’t even look like there is PPF on the panels!

Our Final Thoughts:

Once complete, the finished result was seriously incredible. We have been doing this for over 15 years and the end result has to be up there with one of the most rewarding colours to make “pop”.

Now protected with ProFilm Advanced Materials Ultra Clear Pro with a market leading 12 year warranty. We also have the industry best fitment warranty attached to this, making it a 12 year fitment warranty for the ultimate peace of mind.

The car was then ceramic coated inside and out with Gtechniq products, namely Gtechniq HALO Flexible Film Ceramic Coating on top of the Paint Protection Film.

We protected Lamborghini Leeds new demonstrator with PPF!

Our friends at Lamborghini Leeds recently reached out to us as their brand new 2023 Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica had arrived from Italy and desperately needed protecting with Paint Protection Film.

Our director, Myles, made his way over to the dealership to collect the vehicle personally and drive it (carefully) back to our state-of-the-art protection studio here at Reep Yorkshire in Knaresborough.

We were tasked with installing our ‘Extended Track Pack’ PPF Kit, which protects the entire front end, both sills, A pillars, leading edge of the roof and rear bumper splash guards. On this one we also protected the rear spoiler as this was asking to get hit from a stone! We are unique whereby very few companies in the UK include these areas within a Track Pack kit. We feel as though every road rash area deserves to be protected with film in this kit, especially behind the rear wheels!

The material we use is by Profilm, who we are an Approved Installation Centre of. The material is named Ultra Clear Pro, which is their most advanced and top of the range film. It comes with a market leading and unbeaten warranty of 12 years and to show our confidence in the material and our fitment we offer a 12 year installation warranty alongside it for ultimate peace of mind.

This rather bright coloured supercar will be used by Lamborghini Leeds to demonstrate the new Huracan Tecnica model by loaning it out to clients to test as well as used occasionally for a courtesy car.

Porsche 992 GT3RS protected at our Southern studio!

Everyone loves an RS Porsche, right? So its not a surprise that social media and any petrolhead is loving the latest 992 variant of the GT3RS.

Our Reep Southern studio recently protected this stunning specification of one and we personally love it! Reep Southern are based at the Dunsfold Aerodrome, also known as the Top Gear Test Track – how cool!

This track day machine was protected with our Full Car Paint Protection Film Kit from head to toe, ensuring every lacquered surface now has a safety barrier of self-healing film preventing any stone chips, scratches, scuffs and the likes!

We use ProFilm Advanced Materials, namely their Ultra Clear Pro range which comes with a market leading 12 year warranty. We pair this with our own Reep 12 year installation warranty, for ultimate peace of mind.

Once the GT3RS was fully protected and finished, we ceramic coated the entire car with Gtechniq HALO Flexible Film Coating to ensure simple future maintenance going forwards.

We attended the SCD Secret Meet 2023 at Donington Park!

Our friends at Supercar Driver invited us over to Donington Park for the annual SCD Secret Meet and wow, it did not dissapoint!

Upon entering Donington, you are instantly greeted with incredible cars, cars you are most likely never going to see in the wild other than this event or on social media!

After calming down and catching up with a load of clients who recognised us as we entered, we had a walk around to look at what was on display and chatted to some of our partners who were displaying. We saw our friends at SmartTrack and got chatting to them and looking at their cars on display.

They had Paul Bailey’s La Ferrari on display in the pit lane, where they were giving passenger rides to clients. How cool!

Sitting across from us was Mr JWW McLaren Senna which recently did the Gumball 3000. The exposed carbon fibre body on this car is unbelievable.

It was super cool to see Gordon Murray’s latest design of the T50 up close and personal. The interior and centre seat position is really special. It was interesting to see it parked alongside the Mclaren F1, which Gordon designed. Unfortunately we didn’t catch a picture of that, but it was amazing to see the design similarities between them and the innovation of the T50, particularly the rear end fan design.

Of course this is the SCD Secret Meet, so it wasn’t long before we found another Mclaren F1 (as you do). This was a Mclaren F1 GTR, so a little more special estimated at around £3 million.

You thought that was crazy… well, turning around in the pit garage behind us, was a Mercedes CLK GTR. Nothing special, at an estimated $9 million.

All of a sudden the heavens opened… It was crazy to see these highly valuable cars which are most likely tucked away in storage on display, out in the wild going around the track in typical British weather.

As we were heading back, we fell in love with a BTCC icon. The Renault Laguna!

Overall, a brilliant day! We are looking forward to the SCD Secret Meet 2024!

We are supporting WeSeeHope – A Charity for vulnerable children across Africa

We came across a wonderful charity WeSeeHope and spoke to a member of the team there, Jess, to learn more about their vision and goals with the charity. They are soon hosting an event alongside Hope Classic Rally and auctioning prizes away to members to raise funds for the children across Southern and Eastern Africa.

We have donated a vehicle detailing package and ceramic coating package worth over £1,000.00 for free, where members can bid on the auction where all funds go to charity. You can bid on the live auction HERE

Here is a little more history and information on the charity we are supporting – WeSeeHope:

WeSeeHope was founded in 2000 by husband and wife, Phil and Wendy Wall.

At the time, Southern and Eastern Africa was the most affected region in the world by HIV and AIDS, and millions of children were being orphaned and made vulnerable as a result.

It was during a visit to South Africa in 1997 that Phil met a little girl called Zodwa, who had been abandoned by her mother. Having failed in their attempt to adopt her, but deeply moved and inspired by their experience, Phil and Wendy decided to take a unique approach to try and help other children like Zodwa. This was their catalyst for change.

They invested their personal savings and created an extraordinary fundraising challenge; they gave people £10 and encouraged them to turn it into £100, using only their talents, passions and networks to do so. Phil and Wendy’s 1010 Challenge raised over £2 million and led to the formation of WeSeeHope.

Today, we are proud to have raised £25 million in support of vulnerable children in Southern and Eastern Africa, and to have hit some amazing milestones along the way. In 2022, Phil and Wendy were both awarded MBEs for their services to our work with vulnerable children in Southern and Eastern Africa.

Melody is the leader of her Kids’ Clubs in Kangoro, Kenya. She is using skills she has learnt to further her education so she can realise her dream of becoming a doctor or a dancer.
