Our repeat client phoned us to let us know he had an allocation of a brand new Porsche 992 GT3 from our local Porsche dealership, Porsche Centre Leeds JCT600.
Our client always specs his vehicles in Solid Black/Flat Black which most people know as Piano Black. Basically shiny black with zero metallic flake in, which looks like glass when detailed properly however it does swirl up and scratch super easy. The solution to this is we always apply Gloss PPF to the entire vehicle body, which prevents scratches, swirl marks and stone chips. The beauty with our Paint Protection Film is as well as all the usual benefits, it is also completely Self-Healing, making Solid Black look 10/10 at all times!
This time though, our client fancied a change. He still insisted it must be fully protected with Paint Protection Film, but this time we decided on Satin PPF. This changes the finish from gloss to Satin, whilst still offering all of the fantastic benefits of PPF and protecting the OEM paintwork underneath.
We thoroughly enjoyed this project and think it looks brilliant, especially with the contrasting gloss black wheels! Take a look at the images and let us know what you think…
This is how the vehicle arrived, pre-preparation. This is completely normal, from the journey the vehicle takes from production. Fortunately this dealership respected the owners wishes and did not touch it, so we were the first to truly work on the paintwork of the vehicle. We could see past the dust and knew this was going to look brilliant.
The car was inspected upon arrival and then moved onto our wash bay for its 22 stage de-contamination process.
Once prepared, it was moved inside our studio for a further inspection process and further preparation processes including iron filing removal, machine polishing, alcohol wiping etc etc. Whilst this was happening, our printing team were upstairs in our plotter room plotting out the pre-cut Satin PPF ready for our installers to begin installation.
